Vision is a very powerful tool if it is used in the right way. We have developed our own system which works as a module in our PC based control system. We are not dependent on a specific supplier of hardware which means we are free to choose the components we find most suitable for our projects.

The result is that we can offer complete solutions at a competitive price. Our strength is that our knowledge does not end with vision technology.

The picture shows an assembly machine with 2 cameras and illumination. Verification is done before and after assembly.

The customer can add new tests and give them a name, for example “Diameter tube”. If the test is not approved the machine will display “Test Diameter tube not approved”. The taken picture will be saved if the parameter “save pictures” is set to active in the machines main program.

We use standard components as long as possible or economically motivated. When necessary, we produce our own, mainly camera housings, brackets and illuminations.

Our control system can handle many cameras which means all it takes is to add more hardware and some programming if you should need to expand the vision control in an existing machine.

The vision editor is used to create the tests that later will be used by the machine’s control system. It will run the vision systems “sequences”, different for different stages of the assembly cycle.

The user can change, remove or add “tests” under each “sequence”. Each test can be a verification of existence or different types of measurements. The tests can be performed in different color channels, monochrome, etc. Various comparison tests can be done. You can seek and move reference points/lines, etc.
